Birthday Picture

It is Isabella's second birthday. Amazing isn't it? People always say that children grow up so fast, but I never believed it until we had our own! Beautiful isn't she?!

The Dredge

Our family at the "Dredge" in beautiful Eastern Oregon. The Dredge was used in the 50's to mine gold. It is actually a large boat that sits in a self-made pond. It dug out the ground in front of it, took out the gold and dropped the left-over rocks behind it. As it did all this, it moved the pond and itself with it. There are over 8 sq. miles of torn up ground from what this machine did. It makes for an interesting day, and when it is as nice as it was this day, then well worth the trip. Come and visit us and we'll show it to you.

Path of Life.

Have you ever walked along a path and wondered where it was leading you? You enjoy the walk and the scenery along the way, yet the whole time in the back of your mind you are wondering where you would end up.
This is kind of how Jen and I are feeling right now. Our past four and a half years with New Tribes Missions have been great. We have met so many wonderful people, we have learned so many unforgettable lessons. Our past year and a half of helping out on staff has stretched us beyond our comfort zone and ultimately grown us as individuals and as a family.
Our time here in Baker City is coming to a close and a new path is opening up before us. We are planning to go on and finish our last year of training in Missouri and finally become members of New Tribes, but we will see what God'’s plan is. Please pray for us as we start saying good-bye to the friends that we have made during our time here, and as we get into the “mood” of packing and moving again.

Hello, Everyone! Isabella here! Dad just wanted me to say "HI" to everyone! I guess that I make a good first picture for our blog!!! 

In the beginning...

...I spent an hour trying to figure out what I am really doing on this site! But I think that I have gotten it figured out now. I hope that this will be a better way for me to keep everyone updated on all the exciting things going on in our lives!!! :-) When we get an exceptional picture then we will post that as well. They will most likely be mainly of Isabella, but that is ok!
