Finally In Missouri!!

Well, we made it. We are here. I don't think that it has quite sunk in that this is our "home" for a while...but it will get there, I am sure.
We left Nebraska and our friends there Wednesday morning at 6:30. We made it to the gas station and then remembered that we had forgotten Jen's purse. Thankfully we were only 2 minutes away, and not 2 hours when we realized that. We really had a good time with our friends, Wyatt and Julie. They opend their home right up to us and even gave us their bed to sleep on! Getting out of the car at their house was our first real touch with humidity. Yuck...we are not looking forward to the weather in MO!! We spent two nights with them and then we got to Wichita, Kansas Wednesday afternoon.
Our friends, Keenan and Brenda lived acrossed the hall from us for a year in Baker, so we really got to know them well. They have four children, but only two were at home when we were there. They nick-named Isabella, "Granny" because when she had no teeth, she looked like Keenan's Granny, I guess. And the name stuck with them. All the way to their house, about a 5-6 hour trip, we called Isabella, Granny in order to get her used to it again. She just kept laughing! Their house was really relaxing. If you are the type that can just make yourself comfortable in someone's house, then you will fit in great at their home!
Good fellowship. Those would be the two words that discribed our trip crossed country. We are so blessed to have so many friends that we can just stop in on, pretty much where-ever we travel in America!
Well, like I said, we are here. The humidity is killer and will take a while to get used to, but I am sure it can be done. I start work, framing houses, tomorrow so that will be interesting! Pray for Jen and Isabella as they will be alone in the house for the most of the next two months. Jen has alot of un-packing to do...
I am working on downloading the program on this computer that will enable me to post pictures again...so when that happens I will put pictures of our trip and our new home.
